After a tragic accident claims the lives of two young couples, their souls begin the final journey to the creator. Out of compassion, two of the friends choose to wait, allowing the lovers one last chance to return to earth and experience the life they never had the opportunity to live on one condition : they must return before their borrowed time runs out. Back among the living, the couple mysteriously loses all memory of their deaths. They embrace the second chance, rebuilding their dreams and falling in love all over again, unaware that their time has already expired. As they Overstayed the life they were temporarily granted, the two waiting friends are forced to return and remind them of the promise they made. Mistaking the familiar Spirits for terrifying ghosts, the lovers desperately fight to protect the life they believe is truly theirs.
